I’ve worked the Maaslandcollege in Oss, The Netherlands for more than twenty years. I teach art, I paint in my own studio at home, I draw whenever I travel, and yet in all that time I’ve never made a series image of my own of my place of work. Time for a change! A couple of months ago I started with an initial drawing. Happy with the result I carried on. It subsequently became a series of nine drawings of various corners of the school, based on photographs I took early on winter mornings when it was dark outside and the corridors were empty.
The drawings are each 30 x 30 cm and made using water-soluble pencil.
